About the project:
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist / AI Solution Architect with a strong Data Science background to join a new project at its very early stage. The role will start with a discovery phase, where the main goal is to shape the technical vision and ensure high-quality project foundations. The project focuses on using GPR data to identify and classify underground infrastructure such as pipes and cables. Radar signals are processed as time-series data, combined with reference information from utility providers to train models for infrastructure classification. The project has already delivered a proof of solution with a trained model and the next phase will focus on building an MVP, defining the architecture, and improving data collection and quality in a highly collaborative setup.
What you will do:
- Lead the discovery phase and help define the overall data solution
- Design AI solution, train ML model, create architecture diagrams
- Prepare design schemes, architecture documentation, and technical recommendations
- Supply all the deliverables, milestones, and an execution plan for a large-scale project
- Provide estimates and feasibility assessments for the full project scope
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and the delivery team to align technical decisions
What you bring:
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Solution Architect or in related field.
- Strong background in data AI solution and system design for large-scale projects.
- Solid hands-on experience with time-series data and time-series analysis
- Hands-on experience with modern data platforms, data pipelines, and Data Science/ML/AI
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical designs and recommendations.
- Experience participating in or leading discovery and early-stage project phases.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to estimate scope, timelines, and risks for large projects.
- Confident communication skills and ability to work directly with stakeholders.
- Availability to start in March and work in a part-time engagement model in the beginning.
- Upper-intermediate English level.
