About the project:
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and work on complex, data-driven projects. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms and pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives. This is a reserve position in our growing team, with the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in applied AI.
What you will do:

Build and maintain reliable data pipelines and data integrations (mainly ELT/ETL, depending on the source).

Write and optimize complex SQL (performance, joins, window functions, data quality checks).

Work with product/analytics stakeholders to translate business needs into clear data requirements and deliverables.

Implement data quality validation and monitoring (consistency, completeness, correctness).

Troubleshoot and improve existing workflows: root-cause analysis, performance tuning, incremental fixes.

Own your area end-to-end: from implementation to documentation and ongoing support (solo ownership).
What you bring:

4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer (or similar role with strong hands-on SQL).

Very strong SQL: confident with analytical queries, performance tuning, and working with large tables.

Solid programming in Python (data processing, scripts, automation) — not necessarily heavy software engineering, but comfortable building production-ready utilities.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to pass algorithmic / logic-based technical tasks.

Comfortable working independently and taking full ownership of tasks and delivery.

Experience with at least one modern data stack (e.g., Snowflake / BigQuery / Redshift / Databricks).

Cloud exposure (AWS / GCP / Azure) at a practical level.

Upper-intermediate English.
Would be nice if you have:
- Knowledge of streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink)
- Experience with infrastructure as code and containerization (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes)
